Function
The Ductile Iron Gate Valve is primarily used for isolation—allowing or stopping the flow of fluid in pressurized pipeline systems. The wedge slides vertically via a stem mechanism to open or close the passage. This full-bore design allows for minimal pressure drop and unrestricted flow.
The resilient seated type ensures a bubble-tight seal for clean water or slightly corrosive fluids, while the metal-seated type handles higher temperatures or abrasive media. Both versions are designed for long-term use in buried, above-ground, or submerged conditions, making them a go-to choice for municipal and utility networks.
Vcoreductile iron gate valves are available in both resilient-seated and metal-seated designs, ensuring flexibility in various pressure and temperature ranges. The encapsulated wedge ensures a bubble-tight seal and long service life, especially in underground or buried installations where reliability is non-negotiable.
