Function
The Full Lug-Type Butterfly Valve operates by rotating a disc within the valve body. The disc is connected to a stem that turns it 90° to either open or close the valve. When the valve is open, the disc aligns with the flow path, allowing the fluid to pass through with minimal resistance. When the valve is closed, the disc rotates to block the flow path and provide a tight seal, preventing leakage.
The lugged design allows for easy installation and removal of the valve without disturbing the rest of the pipeline, making it ideal for systems that require routine maintenance or valve replacement. The full-bore design ensures high flow rates and minimal pressure drop when the valve is open, making it suitable for applications requiring maximum flow efficiency.
The butterfly valve uses a rotating disc to control fluid flow. When the valve is open, the disc is aligned with the flow path, allowing for unrestricted flow. When closed, the disc rotates to block the flow, providing a tight seal. The lugged design ensures that the valve can be easily removed for maintenance or replacement without disturbing the rest of the pipeline, making it an efficient solution for systems requiring easy installation and removal.
