Underground Gate Valve

Buried installation underground gate valve for municipal water distribution systems, Vcore valveProduction Overview

Vcore Underground Gate Valve is specially engineered for buried pipeline systems requiring safe, reliable shut-off without frequent access. Designed to be directly installed below ground level, this valve features a sealed, corrosion-resistant structure with an extended operating stem or with a square cap for wrench operation. It’s ideal for municipal water supply, fire hydrant systems, gas distribution, and industrial infrastructure where space and maintenance access are limited.

  • Buried Installation Friendly – Compact body with external stem extensions or key caps.

  • Non-Rising Stem Design – Space-saving, ideal for limited vertical clearance.

  • Corrosion-Resistant Body – Ductile iron with epoxy lining resists soil and groundwater erosion.

  • Full Port Flow – Minimal pressure drop, ensuring system efficiency.

  • Sealed Bonnet Construction – Long-term reliability under buried conditions.

  • Manual or Gearbox Operation – Suitable for hydrants, fire lines, and underground piping.

Internal Construction of KEMUS Underground Non-Rising Stem Valve Function

The underground gate valve is primarily used for isolation purposes in buried pipelines, such as municipal water mains, fire systems, or distribution networks. Operated via T-wrench or extended rods, the gate moves vertically within the body, offering full shut-off or full open flow positions.

Its non-rising stem design makes it ideal for spaces with vertical constraints or where visual indication is not required. The internal sealing system ensures leak-free closure, while the external body coating ensures long-term corrosion protection when buried directly in soil.

Our underground gate valve adopts a non-rising stem design, ensuring minimal installation height while maintaining full-bore flow. The valve body and bonnet are typically made of ductile iron with internal epoxy coating for corrosion resistance. The sealing is either resilient seat (EPDM/NBR) for low-pressure systems or metal seat for higher-pressure and temperature applications.
